What’s up guys? It’s been a while since I’ve updated you on whats going on. I have been asked several times about the blog and why no updates. I have no excuse except that I have way less time than I had before. I have yet to put out a Ainzlee’s World Youtube video this year and my other projects are moving at a slow pace. In doing this update right now, I have limited time so I promise that I won’t be long. Time seems to be flying along and soon it will be two years since I’ve been in Ontario. I finished school almost a year ago and started working within two weeks of getting my work permit. I’ve been on many adventures but not half as much as I want to be. I’m still trying to adjust to the fact that six months out of the year is extremely cold and all you want to do is hibernate like the animals. The six months good for outdoors doesn’t seem like enough time to do what needs to be done. This has been a challenge and I’m slowly but surely finding ways to make use of the indoors. For those who know me I’ve always been goal oriented and even though I’ve been making slow progress and I am a bit behind because of unforeseen circumstances I’m not giving up and plan to complete them all before the year ends. I now live in Hamilton which is the fifth largest city in Ontario. Its referred to as the armpit of Ontario and I’m still trying to figure out why. All I know is its way cheaper than Toronto and I love the mix of old and new architectural buildings not to mention the ridiculous amount of trails and waterfalls of which I have only been to two. I plan to extend my work permit as there is so much more to explore and I’ve just started digging in. I also plan on
running in at least two 5k races this year and find time to get to Montreal as well. Seems easy doesn’t it? It’s not seeing that I work 6 days a week but you only live once so I will make time for it.
Not much more to say at this point so I’ll let the pictures do the rest.
Remember I’m on Twitter and Facebook… let’s chat! Please leave comments as well. Any feedback is welcome.
Until next time, peace….

It’s been a while since I put words on a screen and called it a blog but here I go again. This is the end of the summer and with it I think the last update for a while on my quest for a healthier life. It’s been weeks since the last update so for those who asked here it is.
Bloggers Note : For those of you who haveno idea what I’m talking about feel free to click below links :
The truth is (you know what usually comes after that right?) I slacked off. I got caught up in summer and all the activities and neglected to do my work outs. Don’t get me wrong. I did do them but not as consistently as I should have. I kept going to bed very late and by the time I got up it was time to get out and do stuff. I did do alot of walking and some running because Mandeville traffic was crazy this summer. So i parked the car and walked everywhere.
My eating habits for the most part were good though. I am not one that deprives myself when I have cravings for anything but all in all I made good decisions as far as food and drink. I have never drank so much water in my life. I drank one or two sodas all summer and stayed away from fatty foods also called made sure the pork was all lean meat.
So at the start of the summer I was 200 pounds, a weight which I have been for the past five years which isn’t bad because I’m 6ft 3 but I was surprised when I jumped on the scale and saw it said I was 190 pounds. I feel lighter, leaner and ready for the challenge in terms of health and keeping fit. To me ten pounds is alot but I basically look the same as 200. I guess it has to do with muscle memory.
It’s a few days before school starts and I’ve started my workout slowly but surely. Getting in pushups, situps and kegel workouts and more to be added. I hear there is a gym on campus so I may do some weight training. To tell you the truth 200 is my goal but i want it the healthy way.
Below is a flashback to my 200 situps challenge breakthrough. Consistency is the key. Going back for that too. Current pushups status : 102 str8!
This is my second update on my summer journey to build a better body through exercise and drink. I’ll try to keep this as short as possible.
The last three weeks have been rough! Not because the workouts have gotten harder but because procrastination and improper eating has crept in. i haven’t controlled my need for Burger King and the need for five meals a day according to the regimine I’m on I havent been able to keep up with it. I do get in three meals most days and keeping them as healthy as possible while rehydrating is a job in itself.
I’ve been also waiting until after 11 at night to do my insanity. Now anyone who has done insanity knows this is insane. at the time of the day when you’re energy is the lowest. Because of this by the time I finish the warm up you know who is ready for bed? Yes, me!
Even through all that I have worked out during the days doing 200 sit-ups a day, 100 pushups (35 consecutive, going for 100 ) and pullups as well as a little work with the weights I have at home!
So even though I could have done better at concentrating on my goal I still am seeing results. Starting after writing this blog I will be changing some of my workouts (doing the same workout over and over sucks) and spending more time with insanity while trying to consume 5 meals a dat with proper hydration.
I did go to play basketball once during this time but left my camera’s memory card so I didn’t get to videotape my attempt to dunk from under the rim. Next time I promise. Also was trying to find somewhere to run the 100M but for the life of me can’t find one place in my hommetown of Mandeville that has a track marked for that distance. Now that’s sad. I haven’t given up on that and will keep you updated in part 3.
I know I did a food review on my last blog but this food experience happened on the same trip and after reading this review you may understand why I did. This particular experience happened after the one I blogged about but after the ocean took me and tossed me to and fro in a couple of hours I was ready to eat again and hoping for a better experience.
I had never been to The Pelican and wanting to conquer the hip strip (as in interact with every food joint and hotel – 85% there) so when it was suggested I eagerly agreed. It was exactly as I had thought the ambiance would be but the design of the place wasn’t. But all in all very nice food place that I would recommend to anyone. Not only for the sweet setup but the prices were very good as well. I mean if I had the choice between KFC and The Pelican, KFC lose! (yes, I went there).
So to the “meat” of the matter! We got our menus and after the experience with the microwaved and very salty meal mentioned in previous review before I wasn’t in the mood for chicken and neither were the other four people that made up the group. So after looking through and rejecting all fowl dishes, two people went with fish and the other oxtail. I wasn’t feeling any of those dishes but something caught my eye. Club sandwiches with a mix of three meats. Once my eyes saw that my mouth started to water.
Excitedly I ordered and waited hoping for a meal as my mind was at the moment was creating and my taste buds were hoping for. It came in good time. Nicely served with a beautiful smile I jumped right in. Can I say that… my mouth, lips, tongue and belly were not disappointed. I had struck food gold. I will try to find some adjectives to describe my food high. Delightful, Loaded with flavour and a real work of art. The bread was toasted just right and the meats which were ham chicken and beef were all well done. Bravo! *claps* It came with a decent serving of fries which maybe even though tasty were a bit soaked in oil so I ended up squeezing some of that oil out but tasty nonetheless.
I’d dare say even though this was my first expereince there and having tht club sandwich that I may go back for seconds…..naaaah! I’ll try something else next time! After making such a good impression and with such good service I am confident they won’t let me down….
